The Company is on a journey of aggressive growth, to support that growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor at our Production Facility in Billingham.

The Role:

Working as part of our Health & Safety team, the role will help ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and legislation. The site is an Upper Tier COMAH production facility and as such the role will offer, as appropriate, Health, Safety and Environmental guidance to Line Managers and employees.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, and roll out, health and safety assessments to meet the general guidance of the HASAWA. Specifically, COSHH, Risk and other specific risk based control assessment programmes.
  • Conduct routine safety observations and audits, developing corrective actions with Line managers to ensure compliance with regulators.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health programmes, currently in place, or to be developed.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training material to site personnel.
  • Provide active support in the investigation of accidents, incidents and near misses, with subsequent follow-up.
  • Assist in the development and roll out of EHS improvement projects.
  • Work with the HSE Manager & Technical Manager on the maintenance of an Integrated Management System, which conforms to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Develop and Support, including writing & review, business policies, plans and procedures.
  • Participation in the existing business audit program.
  • Act as developer of the site learning from events tracking lists tool.
  • Assist in the preparation of regular reports on EHS matters.
  • Taking an active role in the sites environmental and permissible exposure limit testing activities.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

Required:

  • A recognised Health and safety qualification, with the Nebosh Certificate as a minimum.
  • A strong knowledge of current Health, Safety and Environmental legislation affecting high hazard production sites.
  • Experience in emergency response activities would be an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of EPR permit compliance, reporting and EA audits
  • Working knowledge and experience of ISO standards and auditing practices (internal and external)
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working within a high hazard production environment, with at least 2 years’ providing EHS support (Upper Tier COMAH preferred).

Preferred:

  • A recognised Environmental qualification. IEMA for example
  • Chemical Process industry experience
  • Report writing skills.
  • Driving License – Minimal travel to another site required.

  • Organised, with the ability to prioritise as needed.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Sharepoint, Lists, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and in particular Excel.

The Company is on a journey of an aggressive growth period; therefore, it is important to have the correct level of support in place to ensure business success. In light of this, we have an exciting opportunity for an IT Systems Administrator to further strengthen the provision of IT Support.

The Role:
Based at our Billingham Production facility and reporting into the Administration Manager the post holder will be responsible for implementation, maintenance, security and operational support of systems as part of the IT team. Ensuring the smooth running and availability of the company’s computers, servers, VOIP and internet. Leadership of IT projects and change management within UK.

Key Duties/Responsibilities include:

  • Systems administration and daily operational support for production
  • Implement new products and/or service offerings, the maintenance and upgrade of activities on IT infrastructure and/or applications according to the CIO (France) or local senior management
  • Resolving issues and incidents by performing root cause analysis and developing and implementing solutions
  • Serves as the technical lead in the design and build of systems
  • Lead and support solution lifecycle technical activities. Ensure solutions are designed for great user experience and operational performance
  • Ensure UK IT policies are fit for purpose and in line with Group requirements
  • Provide input to cost and schedule estimation. Responsible for overall integrity of system design and operation
  • Manage third party service providers where applicable
  • Review solution performance, and continually assess health of systems. Track and drive awareness to operational and technical debt risks. Provide escalated support to incident and problem management. Utilize analytics to improve availability, reliability, efficiency and capacity
  • Conduct peer reviews and approve system changes and technical solution design. Partner cross-organizationally to drive minimal costs on optimal solutions. Provide in-depth technical information to stakeholders as needed
  • Manage systems utilized to deliver hosted services to users
  • Interface and manage interactions for hardware and services provided
  • Utilize and support systems tools to manage complex and multisite IT environment
  • Cover of IT colleague duties across both sites as and when required
  • Additional duties as and when required to meet the demands of our developing business

 Qualifications/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, Office 365 applications and MS Windows
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Microsoft servers’ platforms, VMWare environment and Veeam backup
  • Experienced in leading IT projects.
  • Knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, and best practices; thorough knowledge of business functions and operations, objectives and strategies.
  • Broad general knowledge of technology architecture, infrastructure, network, security and software principles and models.
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL concepts will be appreciated.
  • This position requires engaging with multiple users and different site setups while creating and maintaining documentation for each site.
  • Availability to support ad hoc unplanned maintenance as required and occasional planned out of hours maintenance.
  • Full Driver’s license and transportation as travel between sites is required.

  Competencies:

  • Working in Collaboration and in particular as part of a wider IT team
  • The ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously is required
  • Excellent Relationship Management and collaboration skills, with a track record of working as one team cross-organizationally to drive innovation and business results.
  • Must be user-service-minded and tactful when dealing with end users. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with end-users, partners, coworkers, and upper management.
